Peptide Reference Standards

Peptide reference standards — GLP-1, dual-agonist and CNP analog materials

Lyophilised peptide reference standards released lot by lot with identity confirmed by LC-MS peptide mapping and chromatographic purity determined by HPLC-UV, supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical testing.

How peptide reference standards are characterised and released

A peptide reference standard has to answer two questions before it is usable: is the sequence the one claimed, and how much of the vial content is actually that peptide. Identity is established by LC-MS peptide mapping against the reference sequence, chromatographic purity by reversed-phase HPLC-UV at 214 nm, and net peptide content by amino acid analysis — because a lyophilisate also carries counter-ion and water mass.

Every peptide listed here is released against a documented chromatographic purity specification with a Certificate of Analysis naming the tested lot, the manufacture and retest dates, water content by Karl Fischer and residual solvents to ICH Q3C limits. Typical applications are reversed-phase HPLC and UPLC system suitability, LC-MS/MS quantitation, related-substance profiling and stability assay calibration.

Materials are packed in sealed amber vials under argon with desiccant, stored at −20 °C, and supplied for in-vitro laboratory research and analytical testing only — never for administration to humans or animals.

Frequently asked

Why is net peptide content reported separately from HPLC purity?
HPLC purity describes the proportion of the peptide-related material that is the target sequence. Net peptide content, determined by amino acid analysis, states how much of the total vial mass is peptide rather than counter-ion, water or residual salt — that is the figure a gravimetric calibration standard needs.
How should lyophilised peptide standards be reconstituted and stored?
Vials are stored at −20 °C, desiccated and protected from light, and should be equilibrated to room temperature before opening to avoid condensation. Reconstitute in the solvent stated for the material, aliquot, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the stock solution.
What pack sizes are available?
1 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 50 mg are priced openly on each product page. Quantities from 500 mg to 10 g and above are quoted individually through the bulk enquiry track.
